Starting in the fall students will have three new places to call home in Kent.

University Oaks is on Golden Oaks Drive across the street from Tri-Towers on campus.

They were formerly Silver Oaks before Capstone Companies bought the property and are in the process of being remodeled.

“The housing that’s been available for students has been very limited in previous years,” said Jason Swierczynski, Head Manager of University Oaks. “You can obviously see that with three new properties moving in at the same time.”

University Oaks currently has 520 spots to fill. Each resident has an individual lease.

The rental rates are as follows:

One bedroom: $799/month

Two bedrooms: $525-$535/month

Three bedrooms: $455-$475/month

Residents will have access to a 24-hour club house and laundry facility, Wi-Fi internet, coffee bar, outdoor grill and fireplace, workout room, study lounge, sauna and tanning beds.

They are pet friendly and the rooms are fully furnished.

The Province is in the process of being built and is located on the corner of East Summit St. and Morris Rd. and is in walking distance of campus.

They were not available for an interview.

The rental rates are as follows:

Studio or one bedroom: $685-$880/month

Two bedrooms: $750-$780/month

Three bedrooms: $580-$605/month

Four bedrooms: $575/month

Apartments are fully furnished and have their own washer and dryer. Residents have access to a fitness center, pool and sun deck, clubhouse, Wi-Fi access, a lounge and tanning beds, and 24-hour emergency maintenance.

Pets are not allowed.

And last but not least students will also be able to call University Edge their new home once it’s built.

University Edge was also unavailable for an interview.

They are located on Rhodes Road near the Child Development Center on campus and College Towers.

The rental rates are as follows:

Studio: $735

Two bedrooms: $685-$695

Three bedrooms: $595

Four bedrooms: $555

Apartments are fully furnished and have their own washer and dryer. The amenities include a fitness center, free tanning beds, recreation center, Wi-Fi hotspots, and on-site management and maintenance.
