Google joined Wikipedia and other Silicon Valley giants on Wednesday to protest two pieces of legislation that are currently making their way through congress. Critics say the Stop Online Privacy Act, or SOPA, would impose restrictions on a free internet, while proponents say the legislation is needed to stop foreign copyright violators.
