The Main Street Stone Arch Bridge is still standing after 134 years.

Horse and buggies, people and cars have all crossed it during its two centuries of existence.

On Sunday, people of Kent gathered downtown to watch a reenactment of the first day the bridge opened. The ceremony featured people dressed as historical figures and ended with a horse-drawn carriage carrying melons.

People ate pieces of bridge-shaped cake at the end of the ceremony.
