After Christmas, the winter months tend to roll by slowly before our eyes. When the warm spring air of Kent hits we will all wonder where these winter months have even gone. This week’s playlist will provide a series of tunes that you can snuggle up to during this snowpocalypse. I’ve provided various hits that have all touched my life in different ways. My playlist has brought joy to my life whether I was going out with my girls or representing my city – each song has influenced my life.

1. “Julia” by The Cataracs (no album)- I originally only liked this song because my name was in it but it turned out to be one of my new favorites because of their lyrics and sound.

2. “Black and Yellow” by Wiz Khalifa (Black and Yellow)- Being from Pittsburgh this song is only appropriate. Here we go Steelers!

3. “Somewhere in Brooklyn” by Bruno Mars (Doo-Wops and Hooligans)- One of my all time favorites, the song is light and catchy on Bruno Mars’s latest album.

4. “I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker” by Sandy Thom (Smile… It Confuses People)- “When pop-stars still remained a myth and ignorance could still be bliss.”

5. “King of Anything” by Sara Bareilles (Kaleidoscope Heart)- There is a reason why this song is one of her most popular. This song can really speak to you in any mood and what can I say, Sara Bareilles is the best.

6. “So Happy I Could Die” by Lady Gaga (The Fame Monster)- I can never get this out of my head because my best friend plays this song 24/7.

7. “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw ft. Faith Hill (Everywhere)- Sparked my love for Tim McGraw and was introduced to me by someone who I love very much.
