With the first semester for many done and in the books, Dining Services is celebrating by throwing the second annual Big A** Party Thursday at Eastway.

“It’s exciting to celebrate everyone who worked hard,” said Richard Roldan, Dining Services Director. “They made it. This is a kick-off for second semester.”

The festivities will occupy the entire Eastway complex, and all students are welcome.

“Outside we will have a bonfire with marshmallows, and a bar made of ice where hot cocoa will be served,” he said. “We will also have henna tattoos and tarot cards.”

The event, which runs from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., will also feature DJ Ricky Ruckus, who will be upstairs, along with karaoke provided by Kent Student Center Programming.

“There’s going to be a mechanical bull, sumo wrestling, toilet bowl racing, a free photo booth and a Rock Band 2 tournament,” said Autumn Piller, dining services marketing manager. “Samples of Burger King fries, TGIF fries, and Naked Juices will be handed out also.”

Rock Band 2 will be given away to the voted winner of the tournament, said Roldan.

“Last year was intense, “ Piller said. “This year will be even better.”
