Ten rounds, ten prizes and only room for 500 participants highlight Black Squirrel Bingo night tonight at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.

“We made bingo its own event for this semester and made sure to increase the number of participants,” Jason Hawk, the Rec’s marketing coordinator said. “We also planned a bunch of big prizes.”

Prizes include free Chipotle for a semester, an iPod Touch and a Playstation 3.

The top three prizes for the event include a trip for two to Las Vegas for a long weekend, a free year’s rent in a Whitehall Terrace one-bedroom unit and a $25,000 cash prize.

The free event begins at 11 p.m. with doors opening at 10:30 p.m. at the SRWC.

Spring semester’s 10th Anniversary “Circus Extravaganza” included a big-top bingo event, which drew about twenty people more than the Student Recreation and Wellness Center’s 325-person capacity.

Last year’s top prize, a 2010 Mazda 3 went unclaimed after nobody was able to complete the task of covering the whole bingo card by the time fifty numbers were called.
