Four students have reported being
robbed in two separate incidents on and
off campus this weekend.
Kent State Police Department and Kent
Police Department officers and detectives could not be reached for comment, and some declined to comment.
In the first robbery, two students reported being robbed at gunpoint by three suspects early Saturday morning in the Silver Oaks Place parking lot, according to a FlashLine message. No one was injured.
In the second robbery, two students reported being robbed and assaulted by four suspects early yesterday morning.
2:02 a.m. Saturday
The three suspects in the Silver Oaks parking lot robbery were driving a grey four-door Ford Contour, according to the campus alert.
The victims gave the following descriptions of the three suspects:
• The first suspect is a thin, 6-foot tall white male.
• The second is a stocky, Hispanic male, about 5-foot-9.
• The third is a 5-foot-9 black male, tall and thinner than the Hispanic suspect.
The Kent city police are investigating the robbery and ask anyone with information about the incident to call them at (330) 673-7732.
3:17 a.m. yesterday
Two victims were treated for minor injuries in a strong-arm robbery and assault that occurred in the university commons area north of the Art Building.
According to the campus alert, the four suspects are described as black males about 6-feet tall with athletic builds, wearing jeans and tennis shoes. The victims gave the following, more detailed descriptions:
• The first suspect has facial hair and was wearing a black thermal shirt.
• The second suspect was wearing a grey skullcap and had a white track jacket with a star on the left side that was possibly red.
• The third suspect was wearing a white T-shirt.
• The fourth subject was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
