Men’s golf in 12th place after two rounds

After completing two rounds today, the Kent State men’s golf team stands alone in 12th place in the Ping Golfweek Preview.

The Flashes were in eighth place at the prestigious invitational but fell to 12th place in round two of the tournament.

Individually, sophomore Mackenzie Hughes leads the Flashes and is currently tied for 13th. He shot a team best round of even par in the second round and is 4-over-par for the tournament.

Junior Brett Cairns shot a 7-over-par yesterday afternoon and enters the last round of the tournament tied for 29th.

Tied individually for 56th, juniors John Hahn and J.P. Paiement, along with freshman Isaac Charette, all shot 11-over-par for the first two rounds.

The flashes resume the third round of the Ping Golfweek Invitational tournament tomorrow.
