Jack Hanna’s Exotic Animals will showcase a variety of animals from the Columbus Zoo at 5 p.m. today in the Kiva.

Two animal handlers who work with Hanna at the zoo will host the event. They will interact with the audience in animal showings and also answer questions.

The animal handlers haven’t decided which animals they will feature in the hour-long show.

“Animals have good and bad days just like people,” said Jennifer Gunnoe, Kent Student Center Programming marketing director. “They may not know until (this) morning who’s in the mood to go.”

The event has filled the Kiva to capacity in recent years. Tickets are required this year to prevent students from being turned away at the door, Gunnoe said.

Free tickets are available from 10 a.m. to noon in the Student Center lobby.

Last year, the event featured a Burmese python and a black-footed penguin.
