A man drove his Buick Park Avenue car into the sign outside FedEx Kinko’s on Tuesday afternoon.

The man, a Kent State painter who identified himself as “John,” said he was driving west on state Route 59 when his brakes failed.

“Instead of hitting the car in front of me, I went over the curb and hit that (sign),” he said.

No one was injured in the accident.
