Jack Hanna, host of Jack Hanna’s “Animal Adventures,” spoke to an audience at Timken Great Hall at Kent State Stark. He showed three video clips and introduced the audience to nine animals. Hanna gave the audience a special treat by introducing a three-month-old cheetah, which is rare for him to show while speaking because he doesn’t like the cheetah to travel far from the Columbus Zoo, he said. The cheetah is the fastest land animal, traveling at 70 miles per hour and is the only species in the cat family who doesn’t retract his claws, Hanna said.
