Robin Hood changes policy as investigation continues

The Robin Hood will only admit those 21 years old and older on Thursday nights – for now.

Owner Scott Imhoff said underage drinking problems specifically on Thursday nights led the bar to raise its age limit. Imhoff said no decision has been made about age limits at the bar for other days of the week.

“Thursdays have have been a problem, and we’re going to cut out that problem,” Imhoff said.

The Ohio Department of Public Safety Investigative Unit and the Ohio Department of Liquor Control are investigating the Robin Hood after numerous complaints of underage drinking. The sharp increase in underage drinking included 10 arrests for purchasing alcohol or selling alcohol to minors and four underage consumption charges. Nine arrests have occurred since Feb. 14 after two other 18 and older bars in Kent, the Bar’N and Green Room, closed.

Imhoff was charged Sunday with resisting arrest by the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
