Kent City police said a police report and further information regarding the arrest at College Towers around 5:45 p.m. Friday will be made available this morning.

Campus police said there was not a shooting and that they sent officers to the area to ensure no one would come onto campus. They could not comment further because the event didn’t occur in their jurisdiction.

Michael Sholtis said he was arrested for inducing panic after police came to his apartment because of a report that he was threatening people with a weapon.

Sholtis said police released him at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. He denies the charges and said he will appear in court at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday to challenge them.
