“We just didn’t feel certain it would be clear and safe for students to move about,” said David Creamer, senior vice president for administration.

“Once students are out there, it’s very hard for us to clear,” he said, adding the grounds crew loses half of each hour waiting for student to clear pathways between class changes.

Creamer said he will reassess the condition of the campus at 9 a.m. this morning in case further cancellations are necessary.
