Parking Services digs out cars

A brutal snow storm was the cause of several buried vehicles on campus this past weekend. When in need of assistance, Parking Services Motor Assistance Program offers free, on-campus services for any vehicles stuck in the snow.

Because of the severity of the storm, many students had to wait several hours before they were assisted.

“We received a sporadic number of calls over the weekend, but we can only do so much,” Larry Emling, the manager of parking services, said.

“They can call, but our resources are limited,” Emling said. “There is just not enough time in the day to get to every car.”

The Motor Assistance Program is available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday. The campus police are available for assistance after hours and during the weekends.
