Comedy show to provide laughs for all

Students wanting to add a few laughs to their Valentine’s Day can attend the Hotcards Comedy Tour tonight, sponsored by Black United Students and the All-Campus Programming Board.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 8 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. It’s free of charge.

“It’s a little dreary (outside), but you can come in and laugh,” BUS programmer Ashley Tolliver said.

The comedian Boogie, who hosted BUS’s comedy show in the fall, will host tonight’s performance. Other comedians performing include DJ Lo-Key and a former Kent State student known as Pee Wee Dee.

Hotcards is a national comedy tour, Tolliver said, and BUS brought the tour to Kent State for Black History Month. She said this will be one of the more entertaining segments of the month’s programming.
