Professor to present ‘Incredible India,’ recall his experiences in the country

Michael Kalinski, faculty member in School of Exercise, Leisure and Sport, will present “Incredible India” today at noon in White Hall Room 200.

Kalinski will share his experience lecturing on sport physiology, biochemistry and nutrition to physical education students at various institutions in India. He was honored for one of his presentations at the 19th Annual conference of the Physiological Society of India.

He also organized two national workshops on sport excellence in Bangalore and Amritsar. His book, Ergogenic Aids: Performance-Enhancing Substances in Sport and Exercise was published in New Delhi.

Kalinski spent the Fall 2007 semester in India on a Fulbright Lecturing Grant. According to its Web site, the grants are for educational activities, research and exchange of ideas about issues. The grants are sponsored by the U.S. State Department Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and are funded through the U.S. Congress.
