The owner of a local third-generation bookstore that is the focus of an exhibit in the University Library will be on campus from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m today.

The library created the exhibit about The Bookseller, Inc. to commemorate all Frank Klein has done for the university. Klein has donated many items to the special archive collections, such as the Fred Ziegler Collection. This collection contains many advertisements, promotions, blueprints and manuals pertaining to Twin Coach Company, a car manufacturing company founded in Kent that manufactured trucks for World War I and cars for domestic use.

The exhibit includes some of Klein’s bookbinding skills, unique bookmarks and holiday souvenirs from the bookstore. It also features pictures of the cats and dogs that were a huge part of the Bookseller experience.

The Bookseller, Inc. is located in Akron and offers customers a wide selection of used and rare books. During its 55-year operation, the store passed from generation to generation and is currently operated by Klein and his daughter Andrea, according to its Web site. The owners are members of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America and the Northern Ohio Bibliophilic Society.
