University Health Services will celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Great American Smokeout from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. by hosting a table on the second floor of the Kent Student Center.

Kristy Knight, a student assistant in the Office of Health Promotion, said information on smoking cessation will be available for students interested in quitting. Samples of Chantax, a smoking cessation aid, will be available for students to highlight the office’s new program available to students.

“We hope they get a lot of information on how unhealthy this habit is and get more people into the program,” Knight said. “If they go into it, they might have a better time quitting smoking then if they did it alone.”
