The Kent Police Department made an arrest yesterday morning on charges of attempted murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary stemming from a late-July home invasion that resulted in the stabbing of two people.

Andrew L. Collins, 18, of 705 Summit Gardens Bvld., was taken into custody at his home shortly before 8 a.m., according to the arrest report.

A further charge of possession of marijuana was added after police found the drug upon arrest.

According to the July 30 incident report, force was used to gain entry through a back door at 2 Joyanne Court. Two victims, neither of whom were listed as living at the residence, were hospitalized after the attack.

A police press release said additional arrests are expected in the case.
