With the help of the Kent Environmental Council, the students participating in Super Service Saturday hauled more than 50 tires out of the water. The program was started last spring to give students a chance to volunteer in the community. Recently, they have lent their hands to the Boys and Girls Club of Ravenna. Students painted the worn walls inside the club and pulled weeds from the overgrown play area outside to make the building a more inviting place for children. This Saturday, volunteers will help Habitat for Humanity of Portage County in building a homeless shelter for veterans in Kent.
