Guilty plea in Halloween assault case Halloween

Nicholas Zajac pleaded guilty to aggravated assault during a pre-trial court appearance March 23.

Zajac was arrested Nov. 17 for pushing 25-year-old Dana Lim into the path of a tow truck in front of the Delta Upsilon house Oct. 29. Lim was critically injured that night.

Prosecutor Victor Viglucci said aggravated assault is a fourth degree felony and Zajac will face a minimum of six months and a maximum of 18 months in a state prison. Sentencing will be set for a later date following a pre-sentencing investigation.

Viglucci said the defense will probably ask for probation but whether that will be granted cannot be decided at this time.

Zajac’s attorney, William Lentz, chose not to comment.
