… to an Illinois school district that tried to ban the following books from its school: Toni Morrison’s Beloved, Stephen Dubner’s and Steven Levitt’s Freakonomics, Tim O’Brien’s The Things They Carried, and the late Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five.

… to the British Armed Forces policy that allowed recently returned detainees to give paid interviews on issue of their return while not allowing other sailors to comment in return for payment.
