Delta Gamma holds spaghetti dinner for cancer victims

Delta Gamma is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight in the Delta Gamma house on Fraternity Circle.

The dinner is $5 and includes all-you-can-eat salad, bread and spaghetti as well as a drink and dessert, said Erin Dunford, senior integrated health studies major and member of Delta Gamma. She said people may also pick up meals to go.

Delta Gamma is raising money for two of its sisters who were diagnosed with cancer, Dunford said. One member was recently diagnosed with cancer. The other, Alicia Bane, died of cancer Jan. 31, 2007, at age 23 and proceeds will benefit her family.
