An anti-war demonstration will take place at noon in Risman Plaza to show opposition to the Iraq war, which is now in its fourth year.

The demonstration is sponsored by the International Socialist Organization, Kent State Anti-War Committee, Save the World and Queer Liberation Front.

ISO member Jacquelyn Bleak said an anti-war demonstration took place in Washington, D.C. last week to mark the war’s anniversary, and similar demonstrations are being held in cities around the country.

“As long as the war is going on, we’ll be protesting,” she said.

Isaac Miller, KSAWC member, said students should attend the demonstration to take a stand against an unjust war that is costing American lives.

“Essentially, (the war) has to be stopped,” he said. “It’s at the grassroots level that it can actually be done.”
