Classes are canceled beginning at 2:15 p.m. today through 11 a.m. tomorrow due to inclement weather conditions, university spokesman Ron Kirksey said this afternoon.

Additionally, five Kent State regional campuses – Salem, East Liverpool, Trumbull, Stark and Tuscarawas – have canceled afternoon and evening classes beginning at noon today.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning early this morning, forecasting heavy snow throughout Northern Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania. Five to ten inches of snow could be possible by evening, with another five to eight inches accumulating by tomorrow.
