Flashes shift focus to Falcons Saturday

The Kent State men’s basketball team is looking to replicate what Akron did Wednesday night.

Win on its home court.

After a 78-68 loss to the Zips, the Flashes return to the M.A.C. Center at 7 p.m. tomorrow to take on the Bowling Green Falcons.

Kent State (9-8, 2-2 MAC) gave up its share of leading the Mid-American Conference standings after the loss. With the win, Akron separated itself from Kent State and Ohio to take sole possession of the No. 1 spot.

Bowling Green is the last MAC East Division team Kent State has yet to face. The Falcons (10-7, 1-3 MAC) are coming off a 66-60 loss to Miami on Wednesday night. Their lone MAC win came against Buffalo, 74-73, on Jan. 7.

The Flashes won the last meeting with the Falcons, 82-66, last season at Bowling Green.
