Potential senator to visit Kent State

All students are welcome to attend a meet and greet with U.S. Senate candidate and Rep. Sherrod Brown and his wife, Connie Schultz, Pulitzer-prize winning columnist and Kent State alumna.

The meet and greet will take place at 4 p.m. tomorrow in room 319 of the Student Center.

Brown is touring college campuses across the state as part of his campaign against Republican Sen. Mike DeWine.

Amy Groya, newly inaugurated senator of governmental affairs, said the College Democrats, who are sponsoring of the event, will be giving away free food and prizes. National media including C-SPAN and possibly CNN will attend the event, Groya said.

Brown will give an informal speech and students will have an opportunity to ask questions.
