The annual Friends of the Library Dinner, sponsored by Libraries and Media Services, is now the Friends of the Library Lecture and will be held Thursday, said Cindy Rasmussen, administrative assistant for the office of the dean of Libraries and Media Services.

This is the first time the dinner has been changed to a lecture, she said.

The lecture will be held at 7:30 p.m. in room 306 of the Student Center. The program will feature Plain Dealer Opinion Editor Brent Larkin speaking on “Ohio Politics 2006: Issues and Races.”

The event is free and open to the public.
