The blotter is a record of charges filed by the police. The listings do not represent convictions or reflect guilt. It is the Daily Kent Stater’s policy to publish on- and off-campus arrests, charges and incidents of interest to the public.

CITY POLICE BLOTTER

– Brian Wess Jeffery, 28, of Ravenna, was arrested on a Kent Police Department warrant for failure to appear in court.

– Nicholas Zacharious Pearson, 26, of Ravenna, was charged with driving under suspension and driving without insurance.

– Sean Francis Flanagan, 18, of Richfield, was charged with underage drinking and disorderly conduct.

– Leah Miriam Cohen, 20, of Akron, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and underage drinking.

– Christopher Daniel Sutherland, 23, of Cuyahoga Falls, was charged with obstructing official business and felonious assault.

– Michael Adam Moore, 22, of Kent, was charged with felonious assault and obstructing official business.

– Jason Richard Zarlenga, 24, of Kent, was charged with felonious assault and obstructing official business.

– Justin Edward Morse, 23, of Kent, was charged with traveling the wrong way and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

– Gerald Eugene Hurt, 45, of Kent, was charged with domestic violence.

– A theft of a Visa credit card was reported at the 1300 block of Franklin Avenue.

– A golden retriever was reported running around the 500 block of Franklin Avenue. The dog was held at the kennel at Plum Street.

– Theft of a $5 money bag and key was reported at the Main Street Tavern at the 1100 block of West Main Street.

– Criminal damage was reported at the 1600 block of Athena Drive. A $50 door frame was reported destroyed.

– Theft of a wallet including $200 in cash, an ATM card and a $89 glucometer was reported at the 300 block of South Water Street.

– Disorderly conduct was reported at the intersections of Gemini and Scorpio courts. A fight was reported.

– Felonious assault was reported at the intersection of East Summit Street and Tonkin Court.

– Domestic violence was reported at the 100 block of University Drive.

CAMPUS POLICE BLOTTER

– Bryan P. Kelly, 19, of Akron was charged with criminal damaging.

– Criminal trespassing was reported at the Music and Speech Building.

– Disorderly conduct was reported at Centennial Court A.
