In just one weekend of play, the softball team earned three victories and claimed the Green and White Tournament title.

Kent State (3-0) defeated Virginia 8-3 yesterday to take the title. The Flashes put together an explosive first inning which included two home runs and a 5-1 lead.

Senior Jodi Stevens led the way with one of those home runs. She was 3-for-4 on the day and two RBI. Sophomore Brittney Robinson took the win and improved to 2-0.

The Flashes’ other game yesterday was canceled due to inclement weather.
