Fans to ‘Come Together’ at downtown Kent’s annual Beatle Fest

Today’s the day to celebrate and remember the music of The Beatles and popular music of their time at the seventh annual Beatle Fest kicking off Friday at 5 p.m.

“This is free music all over town,” said Executive Director of Main Street Kent Heather Malarcik. All live entertainment will be at no additional cost to the audience.

Multiple venues throughout Main Street will participate in paying tribute to the band by hosting live music. Some of the local businesses hosting live music are Tree City, Bricco and Ray’s Place.

Bands and performers such as the Blue Moondogs, Abbey Road, Chris Hatton and Opus 216 are excited to share their unique take on the classic music from British Invasion.

While you’ll need a coat for walking from venue to venue, leave your umbrellas at home because this festival calls for clear skies and 30 degree weather.

A full schedule and list of participating venues can be found at the Kent Beatle Fest website
