Paul Stegierwald was known for his play by play announcing for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Mike Fornes began his announcing  play-by play in high school for a radio station that he created. He came to Kent State with desire to combine his love for hockey as well as journalism. Fornes has went on to win two Emmy awards for announcing for the  Washington Capitals.
