Football loses third consecutive game to OU

Kent State football (1-5) lost to Ohio University (5-1) 42-17 Saturday, losing its third game in a row and its fifth of six games.

Redshirt junior quarterback Mike Alaimo completed nine of his 13 passes for 107 yards, one touchdown, and one interception before getting replaced by sophomore Tommy Ulatowski at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Ulatowski was 2-7 for 12 yards and one touchdown and ran four times for 60 yards.

Both of the KSU touchdowns were caught by sophomore wide receiver Chrishon McCray.

Graduate student quarterback Kurtis Rourke threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns against the KSU defense.

OU more than doubled Kent State’s total yards, tallying 466 yards to Kent’s 228.

The Bobcats sacked the quarterback six times during the game, and the Flashes had zero sacks.

Kent State’s next game will be at Eastern Michigan University Oct. 14 at noon.
