Gymnastics finishes fourth at the MAC Championship

The Kent State gymnastics team wrapped up its season, as it finished in fourth place at the 2019 Mid-American Conference championship on Saturday.

Northern Illinois won the championship with an all-around score of 195.975, while Central Michigan placed in second with a 195.575. Eastern Michigan came in third with a 195.350 while the Flashes placed fourth with a 194.775.

Kent State had three winners in their events. Senior Dara Williams came in first on the uneven bars, while junior Jade Brown and sophomore Abby Fletcher tied for first on the the floor exercise.

Brown and Fletcher recorded a score of 9.900 on the bars. Sophomore Toshi Richard scored a 9.825, while sophomore Nasha Manitkul and freshman Madison Trott scored a 9.775. 

Williams scored a 9.850 on bars and 9.675 on vault.

Senior Kennedy Plude recorded a 9.875 on beam and finished in third place on the event.
