Women’s basketball home opener postponed

Kent State’s women’s basketball team was set to play its first home game today against Ohio University, but the game has been postponed.

A statement from the Mid-American Conference said simply that the game had been postponed and would be made up at a later date.

No additional reason for the postponement was given from either the MAC or Kent State officials.

The team began its season Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Ohio State University, falling 103-47. This game came immediately after the team left a 10-day pause in full-squad practicing due to COVID-19 issues,

The team’s MAC play opener will now be a matchup against the University of Toledo on Sunday, Dec. 13.
