Women finish 15th

The Kent State men’s cross country team finished in sixth place at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet in Bloomington, Ind. today.

It was the team’s highest finish at an NCAA regional meet since 1975.

The women’s cross country team took 15th place at the 32 team meet.

The Flashes finished with three top-25 runners among both teams.

Walk on junior Alex Lizzarribar finished in tenth place overall in the women’s race, while senior Aiman Scullion finished in 12th place and junior Scott Hilditch finished in 21st place overall for the men.

Lizzarribar said the team ran very well, and she was proud of her teammates.

“The race was difficult, but I’m really proud of how the team stepped it up today,” she said.
