Men’s cross country team wins fourth straight meet

Women finish in second place

The Kent State men’s cross country team finished first for the fourth consecutive meet today at the Falcon Invite, while the women’s team finished second.

Following the cancellation of the Penn State National Invitational yesterday, the Flashes scheduled the Falcon Invite in Bowling Green. Flashes won both the men’s and women’s individual races today.

Junior Scot Hilditch claimed his second first place finish of the season with a time of 24:12.5 seconds, while walk-on junior Alex Lizarribar claimed her first No. 1 finish with a time of 21:47.5.

The men finished with a team score of 39 points, 22 points below second place Malone. The women’s team finished within six points of first place Bowling Green with a score of 61.

Lizarribar said the race was a success.

“As a team we did awesome, a lot of girls really stepped up,”Lizarribar said. “I’m excited to get a victory in college. It’s

definitely a cool feeling.”

The Flashes head back to Athens in two weeks for the Mid-American Conference Championships on Oct. 31.
