Ellen Glickman, the director of the School of Health Sciences at Kent State, hugs her husband, Harold Greenberg, who as a Kent State student was an edtior of The Kent Stater, at the conclusion of the annual ringing of the Victory Bell to remember the four students killed at Kent State on May 4, 1970, and the two students killed 10 days later at Jackson State. Despite the cancellation of events related to the May 4 50th anniversary—alternatives were offered online—the annual tradition of a candlelight march and the vigil in the Prentice Hall parking lot continued with face masks and social distancing in place.
