A Kent State student was arrested and charged with felonious assault Monday.

Robert S. Lewis, 21, computer information systems major, was arrested at his parents’ home in Dover by the local police.

“Dover (police) was contacted and asked to look for him at his parents’,” Kent Police Department Lt. John Altomare said.

According to the report, Lewis allegedly assaulted someone at the Delta Upsilon fraternity house located at 202 S. Lincoln St.

Altomare said he believed the victim was Lewis’ girlfriend.

He said the Dover Police Department transported him to Kent Monday.

Altomare said Lewis paid $5,000, 10 percent of the $50,000 bond, yesterday at his preliminary hearing.
