Kent State Florence held a conference about the coronavirus at the Palazzo Vettori on Feb. 26, 2020.

With the rise to a Level 3 Travel Health Notice by the Centers for Disease Control, Kent State is requiring all students to return to the U.S. due to the increase of the coronavirus crisis in Italy.

The CDC recommends travelers avoid all “nonessential travel” to Italy, as there is limited access to adequate medical care in the affected areas.

Students at the Florence Campus must attend a meeting Sunday, March 1, where additional details will be provided. Kent State will contact students regarding travel arrangements.

The university is working with students to ensure they can continue their studies uninterrupted.
