Well friends, it was a disappointing week when it came to getting my work out on. I managed to work out once during the week, but once the weekend came it was all downhill.

I decided homework was more important than finding time in my busy schedule to work out, so cheers for me on putting my work first. However, I procrastinated the rest of the week. Of course it was St. Patrick’s Day weekend, so my friends and I wanted to be festive, and I just couldn’t get myself to go to the Rec.

The day I did work out, though, I mixed it up with a bit of old and new techniques.

I managed to get back into my cardio mood — something I’ve been slacking on until recently. I ran a few laps on the track for my warm up, and I knew I was going to have a good workout.

I continued by using some of the machines in the circuit-training center, doing too many squats with a bar for me to even remember, three sets of sit-ups on the ab machine, plus more running to end my workout.

I definitely slacked this week, and although I’m disappointed in myself, I know I can get back into the swing of things with this upcoming week. Plus, I actually missed putting work in, so I don’t think I’ll have any trouble getting myself to go.

This week I also want to eat as healthy as I possibly can. I need to eat more fruits and veggies and try not to eat ramen when I get back from work at 12:30 a.m. because that is something that definitely needs to stop. It makes me feel so run-down afterward.

Just remember, a little set back isn’t enough for any of us to quit! If you struggled last week, use it as an excuse to do better for this upcoming week.

Keep staying fit friends!
