Deadlines approach for graduate research and domestic travel awards

Emily Komorowski

The Graduate Student Senate is offering both a research and domestic travel award for the spring semester. Both of these awards are available to graduate students for individual research funding.

The Research Award is a competitive award that provides up to $2,000 of reimbursement of approved student spending on research, especially for dissertation, thesis or graduate student writing projects. Whoever receives the award will be required to present his or her research at the annual Graduate Research Symposium on April 19.

The Domestic Travel Award is non-competitive, and will cover travel costs around the U.S., Canada and Mexico with up to $350 of approved student expenses covered.

The Research Award spring semester deadline is Monday at 5 p.m., and the Domestic Travel Award’s deadline is Feb. 4 by 5 p.m.
