The post office located in the Kent State Student Center is temporarily closed, pictured on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

The Kent Student Center Post Office has temporarily moved its services to the FLASHcard Office in the lower level of the Student Center and to Mail Services in the Administrative Services Building for the next two weeks.

In an email, the university said students, staff and faculty can drop off prepaid and stamped mail, including absentee ballots, in the outgoing mail collection slot in the student center.

Starting Oct. 20, U.S. Postal Service drop-off and collection boxes will be available in the FLASHcard Office.

All mail services are still available. There was no reasoning provided for the relocation of the services.

SUPPORT STUDENT MEDIA

Hi, I’m Lauren Sasala, a senior journalism student from Toledo. I’m also the editor in chief of The Kent Stater and KentWired this semester. My staff and I are committed to bringing you the most important news about Kent State and the Kent community. We are full-time students and hard-working journalists. While we get support from the student media fee and earned revenue such as advertising, both of those continue to decline. Your generous gift of any amount will help enhance our student experience as we grow into working professionals. Please go here to donate.
