Enrollment shot up this fall

Enrollment for this fall is at 41,365 students in the eight-campus system.

According to Kent State’s office of Research, Planning and Institutional Effectiveness, the number reflects a 7.56-percent increase (2,908 students) of enrollment in classes compared to Fall 2009.

Undergraduate enrollment increased by 2,686 students, while graduate enrollment increased by 222 students for the eight campuses.

Enrollment at the Kent campus increased from last year by 1,279 students to 25,848, and freshman enrollment rose more than 4 percent.
