Police make Student Center drug bust

The Portage County Drug Task Force arrested Teon L. Stallworth, 22, of Akron yesterday for a sale of ecstasy inside a building at the Student Center.

According to a Drug Task Force press release, Stallworth sold 53 M.D.M.A. (ecstasy) pills to an undercover officer. Stallworth was arrested shortly after the sale occurred.

The pills had a street value of approximately $1,000, and officers also recovered an undisclosed amount of money on Stallworth.

Stallworth was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs and taken to the Portage County Jail.

If convicted, Stallworth faces a maximum of eight years in prison. The charge is a second-degree felony.

Officers from the Portage County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Portage County Drug Task Force in the arrest.
