Associate provost plans return to teaching after leaving post

Associate Provost Laura Davis will soon be leaving her position as associate provost to return to teaching, according to a university press release.

There are no plans to fill the now-vacant associate provost position.

Davis will now work closely with the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Communication and Information to develop new LER courses. She will also continue to lead efforts to support May 4 programs, including the following:

&bull Planning for the 40th anniversary of the shootings in 2010.

&bull Apply for National Historic Register status.

&bull Develop the May 4 Visitors Center.

“On behalf of Academic Affairs, I extend our gratitude to Laura for her contributions to Academic Affairs and wish her success in her new role,” Provost Robert Frank said.
