A Multicultural experience

The Muslim Student Association will host its annual Fastathon event Thursday at the Kent Mosque at 325 E. Crain Ave.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and stations will be set up with MSA students to answer frequently asked questions about Islam.

At about 7:30 p.m. there will be a meal of Middle Eastern, North African, Indian and Arabic foods. The meal will symbolize the feast that breaks the fast of Ramadan each night at sundown.

Each year the Muslin Student Association raises money for charity by inviting Kent State students and the community to observe Ramadan and enjoy a multicultural experience.

Admission is $4. Attendees who need a ride can meet at the Student Center bus stop at 6:50 p.m.
