OK Go will headline this year’s 1980s themed, year-end FlashFest on April 24.

The event, which is sponsored by the All Campus Programming Board, will take place in Risman Plaza and the fields in front of the Centennial residence halls.

OK Go will take to the stage at 8 p.m. FlashFest festivities will begin at noon. ACPB is currently negotiating with other potential headlining bands, but will not know for several more days if those bands will perform, said Doug Hite, ACPB concert chair. Several local bands will also perform throughout the day.

FlashFest will feature tables from on- and off-campus organizations as well as contests including a Guitar Hero tournament and prize giveaways. This is the last major event sponsored by ACPB, as next year’s Undergraduate Student Government Programming Board will assume much of its work.

“I hope students come and enjoy it,” ACPB president Colleen Burch said. “Especially with what is happening with ACPB next year, we’re not sure if FlashFest will be around next year. So its definitely bittersweet.”
