Sarae Chaney, who was arrested March 2 for allegedly attacking Nastacia Randleman with a hammer at Allerton Apartments, was indicted March 6 on one charge of felonious assault.

Chaney’s mother and brother attended her arraignment yesterday, but said they wished not to comment about the ongoing case.

Chaney’s bond is now set at $25,000. Her pretrial proceedings are scheduled to begin May 7 at the Portage County Common Pleas Court with Judge Laurie J. Pittman presiding.
